Tow-tally Screwed
Last Sunday, the check engine light came on and the car started running a bit funky. I made it home. On Monday, I took the bus to the Metro station. I came home and started the car to see if the light was still on – it was, of course. Tuesday and Wednesday I caught the bus as well. On Thursday, I decided to take the car in for repairs before work. I started the car – it started but would cut off right after. I went to the bus stop but it seemed that I had already missed the bus so I called a cab to take me to the Metro station. On Friday, I came out a few minutes before 9 to catch the bus, I stood at the bus stop until 9:15 and the bus hadn’t come. “I’ve missed the bus again”, I thought as the bus is supposed to come around 9ish. I take a video and a few photos of birds on the snowy bushes and head back home. Then I hear the bus. I try to hurry back to the bus stop, waving my arms to get the drivers attention. It didn’t work although some of the passengers must have thought I was crazy – another cab to the Metro.
I started the car on Friday evening and it wouldn’t turn over at all. So Saturday, I called AAA to tow my car to get fixed. I know that I’m screwed because arriving on a tow truck translates into “cha ching” for the mechanics. I find out today what needs to be done.

Never felt so bad for a, -uh, Audi before.

Sorry to hear about that fiasco of a travel day. I hope the translation is not what’s expected! I feel u…Trust u are somewhere nice and warm now…have a great day!
Another great video! That was great footage from the tow-truck. Was the tow-truck driver curious about why you were shooting video? I ask because I was once told I could not shoot video in a similar situation. I heard on twitter that it was nothing major wrong with your car. I’m so glad! I love your driving videos!

@all – Thanks for your comments, concern and words of encouragement. I turned out to be just the spark plugs. Car runs like new now.
@jeff – He saw me and actually put the window down for me. He didn’t ask why I was doing it. Our conversation was only about how new my car looks to be six years old, rising gas prices, where I work, and where the dealership’s service department is located. He was really happy because I got the BF to come help him push the car out of the spot because he has to grab it from the front so as to not damage the it.
Kenya,
This is a sad occurance for you, but I liked how you made the video and added the music. That was pretty good. I’m impressed. I couldn’t help but laugh when I heard the song come on, but I’m sorry you had to go without Gadget girl. I know it was hard.
