On October, 19, 2007, Stephen Colbert appeared at Lisner Auditorium. The actual event was interview-style with Tim Russert as the interviewer. This video is of the book signing after the event.
We arrived late and had to sit in the back of the auditorium but the signing actually didn’t take as long as I thought it would. We weren’t allowed to bring anything but the book on the stage either so there’s no “in your face” shot of Stephen Colbert.
I put this video together from damaged footage so there are some quirks.
I love the sound of water. Sometimes when I am stressed, I go into my sunroom, close the door, turn on the fountain and burn a candle. There’s a particular vanilla cookie scented candle, which was discontinued, that was the best, but I digress. There is something about the sound of the running water that seems to soothe me. It’s like the water washes that stress away.
I don’t get to enjoy that fountain during winter because the sunroom is not heated. In the meantime, I guess I’ll loop this video of water features at the United States Botanical Garden.

Yesterday I had to go to traffic court in Prince William County. I had never been to Manassas, where the court is located, and thought it was a quaint little town. I had planned to post something on my court experience or on how cheap gas was in Manassas in comparison to where I live, but something superseded that. On the way back, I literally ran into some difficulties as you will see in this short video.
This whole ordeal occurred in more than an hour’s time. Obviously, I was too involved in the situation to capture the entire event. Crazy.
